The Custom Emails tab contains email templates with specific functions on a class-by-class basis. Setting up custom emails can be done in a Course or a Section, so when selecting the Status, review the dropdown carefully.
You can either select to use the templates created in the Course this Section stems from, use the default template for the action pre-configured sitewide by your Administrators, use custom (your own), or choose not to have the emails sent at all.
