Registering a student for a QSI Virtual School course is a two step process. A student account is created first, and then a student is enrolled in a course. Once a student account is created, you will never have to create it again. The account will roll forward each year until that student graduates. To save time, site coordinators can have their students create their accounts and submit course requests. Before creating an account, you will need the following information:.
Below is a list of the required and recommended fields:
- Student's first and last name
- Home address
- Phone number
- Gender
- Email address: the student's email must be accurate and unique. QSI Virtual School will send each student a username, password communication, and weekly grading reports, and this information will be used to create the ebook account. Using a fake email address will result in course and ebook access issues. Our SIS, Genius, will also prevent accounts with duplicate emails from being created.
- Graduation year
- Whether the student has a learning support plan (Yes/No). If yes, please remember to upload the learning support requirements.
- If English is the primary language spoken at the student's home
- If the student participates in an Intensive English program at school
- Guardian name and email address - we will email parents/guardians with access to our SIS and they will receive weekly grading emails.
- If entering the student's date of birth, please be sure to use the MM/DD/YYYY format.
